Violinist

Jin Chen

Violin, Strings

Originally from China. Graduated from the master's and doctoral programs at the Tokyo College of Music. Received the Kanbayashi Foundation Scholarship while studying there.

Received numerous awards, including the highest ranking (second place) at the 15th Cecilia International Music Competition. In 2022, she participated in the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Opera Project XVIII. She will serve as the concert mistress of the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Orchestra at the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival. She has studied violin under Eiji Arai and Gleb Nikitin.

She is active in a wide range of fields, including commercial filming and recording, performing with famous artists, and guest appearances with orchestras.

Cellist

Toshikura "Super" Ojiro

Cello, Strings

He started playing the cello in Germany at the age of 6. He won 4th place in the chamber music division of the 16th All Japan Art Competition. He won the top prize in the high school to 22 years old division of the 2nd Hokkaido Junior Cello Competition. He won the encouragement prize in the Tokyo competition of the 76th Student Music Competition for university students, and won 3rd place in the national competition. He took a master class with Louis Claret. His band "Kusada Kazushun STRINGS TRIO" has performed live at Blue Note Place and Marunouchi Cotton Club, and both have been well received. In addition to classical music, he is active in a wide range of genres, including supporting artists in live performances, TV recordings, CDs, and film recordings. He has studied cello under Kuwata Ayumu, Shinozaki Yuki, Mukai Wataru, Akitsu Tomonori, Hori Ryosuke, Dmitry Feigin, and Yamamoto Hiroyasu. He graduated from the Tokyo College of Music High School and Tokyo College of Music.

Violinist

Yuuka Sugai

Violin, Viola, Strings

Currently in her fourth year at Tokyo College of Music.
Currently studying violin with Toshiro Yokoyama and Kyoko Takezawa, and viola with Yuki Hyakutake.
Competed in the All Japan Junior Classical Music Competition and the Japan Classical Music Competition National Finals.
Performs at live events and as an extra in community orchestras.

Violist

Risa Nishimura

Viola, Strings

She started playing the violin at the age of six, and switched to the viola when she entered the Tokyo College of Music High School. She has studied violin under Isao Shinozaki and Noriko Matsuda, and viola under Kaoru Ohno and Masumi Tanamura.
She graduated from Tokyo College of Music with a major in viola and a master's degree from the Graduate School of Music at the same university. She is a junior performance assistant at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
She currently performs in a wide range of genres, including solo and chamber music, playing in professional orchestras, and supporting artists at live performances.

Violinist

Misaki Shimotani

Violin, Strings

Born in Kyoto, graduated from Tokyo College of Music. Won third place in the string instruments category at the 15th Chokang Cup International Music Competition. Currently active as a studio musician, he has worked on live performances and recordings for various artists, including Naotaro Moriyama, Anri, Tatsuya Ishii, ORANGE RANGE, Yu Shirota, and Seiko Niizuma.
